This year’s Guy Mason award for outstanding services to supporting the Connection goes to Rhonda Crandle.
Rhonda has worked in the Friends Office on a voluntary basis for the last 3 years. She has come in once a week, to assist with the handling of income and other administrative tasks. She has also helped with Friends mailings and with catering both at the AGM and (via husband Pete), at the Christmas concert. Rhonda has proved to be totally reliable and consistent in her work with us, doing whatever is required efficiently and with good humour. Rhonda’s regular contribution has been invaluable, as over this period the office has been through a major upheaval, following Lesley Cannon’s retirement, with cover initially being provided by Committee members, and then by a newly recruited part-time Charity Administrator.
Throughout, Rhonda has been there as a stable presence, for which the Friends Committee is hugely grateful. Sadly, for us, Rhonda and Pete are returning to Australia later this year. We will miss them both, and Rhonda’s warm reassuring presence in particular. We look forward to the regular e-mails with photos of her grandson (!) and wish them well.
