Join expert guide and Friend of the Connection, Mike Marriott as he leads a tour that weaves its way through over 100 years of history.
Re-scheduled from 19 July to avoid the great heat forecast that day, the walk will start on the steps of St Martin-in-the-Fields, you will hear about women who are represented in the West End by scuplture, statues or plaques. The walk will feature artists, writers, philanthropists and a smattering of royalty. A highlight will be discovering the story of the only hospital entirely staffed by women in the first world war which treated upwards of 20,000 soldiers. The tour will finish near Covent Garden.
